Get your costumes ready and practise your best monster moves—the Capalaba State College P&C Junior Halloween Disco is coming on Friday 30 October 2026!

Join our school community for an evening of music, dancing and Halloween fun. Whether your little dancer is a witch, superhero, friendly ghost or simply loves a good boogie, we’d love to see them there.

When and where

Date: Friday 30 October 2026
Location: New College Hall on School Road—not the Junior Campus
Doors open: 5:00pm
Disco entertainment: 5:30pm–8:00pm

Our entertainers from Bop till you Drop will get the kids moving with music and interactive dance activities.

The evening’s entertainment will be geared towards these age groups:

5:30pm–6:45pm: Prep–Year 2
6:45pm–7:00pm: Changeover
7:00pm–8:00pm: Year 3–Year 6

Children of all ages are welcome to stay for the whole event, and younger siblings aged 0–5 are welcome too.

More than a dance floor

Alongside the disco, we’re planning plenty of activities to keep everyone smiling, including face painting, stick-on tattoos, a Halloween photo backdrop and glow sticks and bands for sale.

There’ll also be a BBQ, drinks and canteen treats available to purchase. Parents can catch up with other families while the children enjoy the evening.

Expect friendly ghosts, bats, cobwebs and purple and orange lighting as we give the hall a playful Halloween makeover. Costumes are encouraged—keep them fun and comfortable for dancing!

Can you lend a hand?

This event comes together through the efforts of our P&C and wonderful volunteers, and we’d love some extra help.

There are jobs before, during and after the disco, including decorating, setting up, welcoming families, helping at stalls and packing down. Even a short shift can make a big difference.

If you’d like to get involved, please contact the P&C. It’s a lovely opportunity to meet other parents and help create a memorable night for our children.
